​Café Lupe Restaurant was established in 2003 by Mr. Alvin M. Carranza.  Being a devotee of Our Lady of Guadalupe inspired him to create a Mexican themed restaurant under the patroness’ name.  The first Café Lupe Restaurant was housed beneath the biggest billboard structure in the Philippines, aptly located along Guadalupe Bridge and within Guadalupe Seminary.  The menu consists of a fusion of Mexican and Filipino foods, ranging from Tacos and Quesadillas to Crispy Pata and Kare-Kare.  Part of its Filipino selection is Ilonggo cuisine such as Kadyos and Inasal.  The industrial structure of the restaurant juxtaposed against the authentic Mexican art pieces created a merging of the old and new, an interesting point of conversation for its diners.

 

By 2005, Café Lupe Branches appeared in Tagaytay and Boracay. The restaurant reopened on 2009 in its new home at Antipolo City where it operates to this day.  Its specific address is at Lot 2-B & C, Brgy. Mambugan, Sumulong Highway, Antipolo City.  It employs about twenty people, including waiters, chefs and administration staff.

 

While the initial Café Lupe Restaurant at Makati City had an interesting architectural setting, Café Lupe Restaurant at Antipolo City has a scenic view overlooking Manila, including Marikina, Cubao, Eastwood, Ortigas and Makati City.  The same quality of food and service remain as it was ten years ago.

 

Café Lupe Antipolo continues to draw diners to its unique fusion of foods, the scenic ambience of the location and the festive atmosphere of the place, which makes it a memorable dining experience.
